Welcome to Crocs Hockey Club - Established 1995

Providing an opportunity for people of all ages to become involved in the sport of hockey by either playing, coaching, umpiring or developing the game in our local area.

We hope you enjoy playing with CROCS HOCKEY and your participation is in the spirit of good sportsmanship, a high priority for this club.

SHORT TERM      Working with Boyne Island Primary School to improve hockey training facilities on sports oval.

LONG TERM      Working with council to develop playing fields at the  BOYNE TANNUM SPORTS PARK off Tannum Sands Road.

TEAMS     We field teams in under 7s, under 9s, under 11s, under 13s, under 15s, men's and women's division.

BEGINNERS      All new to hockey Rookey 7 and Rookey 9 players receive a free starter kit when registration is paid in full.  Beginners of all ages are welcome.

TRAINING     Weather permitting training is at the Gladstone Hockey Association Fields on a Monday night.  Best to check times with current coaches by Crocs Hockey Club Facebook or by emailing  boynetannumhockey@hotmail.com

GAMES       Competition games are played in Gladstone at Rigby Park. Rookey 7s and Rookey 9s play on Saturday mornings. Some games for Under 11s through to Seniors are played on Friday evenings with the majority being played on Saturday.  

The season starts mid March finishing with the Grand Finals usually held on either the first or second Saturday in September.

PROTECTIVE GEAR       Shin guards and mouth guards are highly recommended for Seniors and mandatory at training and games for juniors.

DUTY CLUB        Once every four weeks we are required to set up the GHA fields in the morning, time keep all junior games, then put away junior equipment in readiness for the senior games that follow.  Ask coaches how you can help.

UMPIRING       All clubs need to provide umpires. CROCS pay their umpires. All umpires have the full support of the GHA executive management committee.  Regular training session are organized for training umpires throughout the season.  Umpiring can enhance your understanding of the rules and benefit your game. TECH BENCH       All clubs also need to provide technical bench personnel for some of their games. If interested in becoming a Tech Bench Official at State Championships please see GHA umpire co-ordinator or GHA secretary.

CODE OF CONDUCT       Please read through the Code of Conduct on this website. Not abiding by these may exclude you from games and training sessions.
